Falling Film type Evaporation with Self Cleaning Technology (Kovec's patented product)

Type Falling Film Evaporation (FFE) MVR System Self Cleaning Technology (SCT) MVR System
Facility configuration diagram
Features
  • A single-row, vertically arranged multi-tube heat exchanger is configured.
  • Wastewater is distributed from the top by a circulation pump and supplied to the heat transfer tubes.
  • The wastewater naturally flows as a thin film and evaporates.
  • The heat transfer tubes are divided into multiple zones (6-8).
  • One zone is switched to ascending heat transfer (cleaning circulation) and the remaining zones operate as descending heat transfer (thin-film flow).
  • Scaling is controlled through alternating operation of ascending and descending heat transfer tubes(switching according to time sequence).
Pros & Cons
  • The thin liquid surface provides low thermal resistance.
  • Gravity flow facilitates scale adhesion.
  • It is highly unfavorable for concentrating high-concentration, high-viscosity solutions.
  • Continuous cleaning during operation allows for scale control.
  • Selectable thin-film flow and forced circulation modes are available.
  • Higher concentrations are possible compared to existing facilities.
  • Slightly more expensive than typical thin-film flow (FF) systems.

Application of Self-Cleaning Evaporation and Concetration Device(1)

SCT – MVR type evaporation concentrator is an economical evaporation concentrator system that greatly increases the waste heat recovery rate by applying an MVR (Mechanical Vapor Recompression) vapor compressor to a self-cleaning concentrator.

Application of Self-Cleaning Evaporation and Concetration Device(2)

SCT – TVR type evaporation concentrator is an economical evaporation concentrator system that increases the waste heat recovery rate by applying a TVR (Thermo Vapor Recompression) vapor compressor to a self-cleaning concentrator.
